Kuulomo — accessible audio

Everyone should be able to hearwhat matters.

Kuulomo turns public spaces into places where everyone can hear — from churches and theatres to airports and events.

Kuulomo is a Finnish technology company. We make life more accessible to everyone.

  1. We design, deliver and install accessible audio for public spaces.

  2. Our first focus is Auracast — a new way to bring sound directly to the listener's ears.

  3. We don't sell boxes. We help you understand the problem, choose the right solution and make your space accessible.

The problem

Sound doesn't always carry.

Distance, reverb and background noise take the words before they arrive. Every day, someone is left outside — not because they aren't listening, but because they can't hear.

Church

Today, we talk about hope.

Row twelve. Three seconds of reverb.

Airport

Your gate has changed. The new gate is 31.

One announcement. A hundred other sounds.

Theatre

Promise you won't forget me.

A whisper from the stage. Row twenty.

The same room

Animation: a space with a hundred listeners and one sound source. Without help, sound fades with distance and reverb, and the back rows lose the words. When Kuulomo's solution starts, the same sound reaches every listener at the same moment.

The same room

One voice. A hundred listeners.

The front row hears everything. The back row guesses.

Kuulomo. The same sound. To everyone. At the same moment.

Suddenly, everyone is in the same room again.

Without help, sound fades with distance and reverb. With Kuulomo's solution the same sound reaches every listener at the same moment — directly in the ear.

Technology

How it works

Auracast is a Bluetooth LE Audio standard for sending sound directly to hearing aids, earbuds and phones — from one source to an unlimited number of listeners.

  1. Sound leaves the source

From a microphone, a mixing desk or a PA system, the audio is routed to an Auracast transmitter.

  2. It is broadcast

The transmitter shares the audio into the space using Bluetooth LE Audio. There is no limit on the number of listeners.

  3. The listener joins

A hearing aid, earbuds or a phone joins the broadcast — like choosing a radio station. No pairing, no queues.

  4. Everyone hears

The sound arrives directly in the ear: no reverb, no background noise, no distance.

Who is it for?

People who use hearing aids — and anyone who has ever tried to catch an announcement through noise, a sermon from the back pew or a line from the balcony.

  • Built on the open Bluetooth LE Audio standard
  • Works with compatible hearing aids, earbuds and phones
  • One broadcast, an unlimited number of listeners
  • Complements and gradually replaces traditional induction loops

Use cases

Wherever speech competes with the space.

Accessibility isn't a niche. It's a better experience for everyone.

  • Churches and congregations

The sermon, the music and the shared moment — in every pew, not just the front row.

  • Airports and stations

An announcement that cuts through the noise. A gate change nobody misses.

  • Theatres and halls

A whisper from the stage reaches the back row.

  • Events

Trade fairs, seminars and outdoor events — permanent or temporary.

  • Other public spaces

Auditoriums, council chambers, museums, sports halls. Places where people need to hear each other.

How we work

A partner, not a hardware vendor.

Auracast is a new technology, and every space is different. That's why our work starts with listening.

  1. Understand

What kind of space, which listeners, what problem? We listen first.

  2. Design

We choose the right solution and equipment on the terms of the space — not the manufacturer.

  3. Deliver

We supply, install and test. From the listener's seat, not just the equipment room.

  4. Support

We train your staff and stay involved after the launch.

People

Technology built for people, by people.

Kuulomo was founded by Otto Solala and Joona Korkka. The idea is simple: nobody should be left outside a shared moment because they can't hear.
